Coretti Indicted by New York Police

Arrest warrants were issued late Monday night for Dallas Drillers pitcher Magnus Coretti after the NYPD indicted Coretti on conspiracy charges. The warrant states that there is concrete evidence that Coretti is involved in a major Mafia ring in New York City, and rumors spread that said Mafia has put out a hit on Charlotte Cardinals pitcher Austin Schwartz, who recently ruined one of Coretti's few good starts of the season with a gem of his own. Drillers personnel were mum on the issue, saying that they were not aware of the situation but will do their due diligence on the situation and cooperate with law enforcement as needed. Field experts expect Coretti to be taken into custody over the next couple of days, but he's likely to post bail, letting him continue to pitch for the foreseeable future. Experts expect the trial to be messy, and that the prosecutors will need to take every precaution imaginable if they are in fact dealing with the Mafia. Reports indicate that the trial will likely not take place until late October or even November, suggesting that Coretti will be able to pitch out the rest of this season. The real question though is whether he can get out of the charges and be available to pitch not only next season, but ever again.
