Beach... A Rookie in Review Empty Beach... A Rookie in Review

Fri Aug 28, 2020 12:18 am
Eventually she was almost all alone in the green room. Name after name was called, but Reanna Beach was still not drafted. The first 10 picks, the first 20 picks, the first 30 picks... Beach waited. Finally, her name was called by the Las Vegas Centurions. Las Vegas had lost some pretty big names from Rocky Mitchell to Cid Ramirez. Now they  would be bringing in a completely new group of pitchers.  For Reanna, the first few weeks of the season were very weird. She pitched exceptionally well, but her win loss record did not reflect it. For most of the season, Beach sat on the ERA leaderboards while carrying a losing record. Despite a brief absence, Beach managed to finish the season as the only rookie starter in the top 5 for ERA. She won 11 games and lost 11 games. It wasn't ideal, but it was better than it had looked earlier in the season.  The team did well. With it's stellar young rotation, they won their division and earned a bye in the first round. Eventually they lost to Sherbrooke in 5 games, but no one can complain about the season they had.
