HR Kid SBLM Career Empty HR Kid SBLM Career

Sat Aug 22, 2020 10:53 am
Home Run Kid is an outfielder for the Sherbrooke Mohawks who has just wrapped up his first and lone season in the SBLM. He started out his Baseball career playing primarily Center field, but once Sherbrooke finalized their preseason roster, it was agreed upon that the Kid would be playing in left field for the best fit and interest of the team.

Home Run Kid put together a strong defensive year in LF, committing only 4 errors in 194 defensive chances for a fielding percentage of .979. Not bad for somebody who was thought of as an one-sides player who only hit home runs. At the plate, HR Kid struggled in the beginning but was able to pick things up as the season went on. He posted a respectable batting average of .280 to go along with 13 home runs and 67 RBIs, all the fourth best mark on the Mohawks who had the best record in the league.

In the postseason, HR Kid came through in the clutch in Game 2 with a two-run homerun and also hit another home run in Game 4, as Sherbrooke won both games en route to a 4-1 World Series title win over Vegas.

HR Kid isn’t expected to be selected early as his SBLM career was ok-ok, but it’s just another stepping stone in this guy’s career.
