Sanchez' S1 SBL Mock Draft Empty Sanchez' S1 SBL Mock Draft

The S1 SBL draft can't come soon enough. There are a ton of questions the draft will answer.... Since I don't have any of the answers. Here are a bunch of guesses. Enjoy.

The Draft

With the 1st pick in the S1 SBL draft, the Toronto Bighorns select, Cid Ramirez. The Las Vegas Ace proved to everyone that he was worth his 1st round selection in the SBLM Draft by putting up a pitcher of the year season. The Big Horns starting pitching was the worst in the SBL. No surprise that they grab the top starter available to anchor their rotation.

With the 2nd pick in the SBL draft, the Charlotte Cardinals select Magnus Coretti. Building a strong pitching rotation will be crucial in the early stages of the league. Charlotte won't miss their chance to grab a high potential pitching prospect who could top their rotation.

With the 3rd pick, the Indianapolis Invaders select: Sora Mekajiki. Despite the early run on pitching, Indy is content to grab the top prospect in the draft. Mekajiki is a guy who could be the teams leadoff hitter for the next decade. Indy will hope to grab a starter with their next pick. Even if they don't, I gotta believe they are satisfied with their selection.

With the 4th pick in the draft, the Dallas Drillers select: Delvin Rooks. The flashy middle infielder is a generational talent at 2nd Base. He's a guy to build a team around, and that's what the Drillers seem to be doing here.

With the 5th pick, Dallas surprises some by taking Sphyrna Lewin. Sphyrna is another defensive star with some question marks about his offense. Either way, with their two picks, the Drillers have solidified their middle of the infield for years to come.

With the 6th pick, the Indianapolis Invaders select: Mario McRlwain. Although there are question marks due to his unique pitching style, Sherbrooke's ace pitcher is projected to be a top of the rotation starter at the Major League level. It's a no brainer pick for the Invaders.

With the 7th pick, the Charlotte Cardinals select: Nate Nitro. Nitro quietly is among the best prospects in the draft. Charlotte snatches up another arm for their rotation. I don't blame them.

With the 8th pick, Toronto could really use another arm to bolster the bullpen. Instead, the take the defensive wizard Dale Cooper. He had an exceptional season both in the field and at the plate, but he wasn't draft for his bat. They figure his presence in center field alone will be enough to lower ERAs.

With the 9th pick, the Bighorns decide to draft the high potential starting pitcher James Boxman. He didn't necessarily amaze at the minor league level, but he has what it takes to thrive at the next level. Toronto fans should be happy with the early core of this team.

With the 10th pick, Charlotte selects Kurtis McKenzie. The sweet swinging slugger from Sherbrooke put up MVP numbers in his rookie season. Charlotte will look to pair him with free agent pickup Rocky Mitchell. Opposing pitching beware.

With the 11th pick, Indy selects, Lucas Peterson. Indianapolis makes the right call and grabs the 2nd of 2 shortstops available. Peterson will man the position nicely for them for as long as he's around.

With the 12th pick, Dallas grabs the all around center fielder Flynn Fungo. He offers a rare combination of offense, defense, and base running. It's a surprise Fungo fell all the way to 12th, but Dallas is definitely happy to have him.

** And we'll end it at round 3.**
