You may notice there are not strict guidelines at this time about what each award means or what we will use to determine the winners. My momma always told me that 2 heads are better than one...so more has to be better I figured the best way to start was to have us collaborate on defining each award and then later we can vote at the end of the season. Thank you all for offering to help.

I admit I'm not fully sure how all the defensive stats are calculated and what is most important amongst them so take this with a grain of salt. Obviously making errors is bad, so a good fielding percentage is a factor. Catchers should definitely have CS% as a big factor (with PB a detractor). I think and Range and ZR are related to how much of the field they can cover, and if so that should be a big factor (particularly for MI and CF, though other OF and probably 3B as well should consider it). OF assists and DP in general are good to look at (though they might be uncommon enough to not be a major factor).

ZR is the go-to gauge cuz it takes into account literally everything. Error is overrated -- to make an error you have to get to the ball first, and do you want to blame a good defender who reach out to ball impossible to be caught by other lower skilled fielders but just can't glove it well? Like a bad fielder can have low error number because he just fail to get to enough balls. I would say error should be more of a tiebreaker stat. I think I look at personally is "difficulty of play vs success rate", but this can only be done with a file. In the file, you can check each fielder's attempt in various difficulty, like routine to impossible, and how they do in such situations. I look for someone who is consistent with routine play and can sometimes make miracle plays.

But in short, ZR is usually the go-to stats as it takes into account everything from range, to play difficulty, to execution. Error and assist counts are mostly tiebreaker.

3B: Golden Goliath - They all suck, low PO so I take E more into account, and GG only has 8.
SS: Sphyrna Lewin - No contest, next
LF: Salomon Rrmier - Everything is so close I am taking E into account again
CF: Dale Cooper - No contest, next
RF: Captain Snowball - Same ZR between the two contenders, but Snowball is more consistent over 20 more innings.
