A SLBM Career: Sphyrna Lewin

Sphyrna Lewin played the last game in his SBLM career this week, and unfortunately, it was a loss. The Chicago Storm came close to the objective that the team had auto imposed, but some of their players had a remarkable season, and one of them was the Iceland native shortstop.
Lewin strength lies in his defensive capabilities, one of the most important attributes for his position. Lewin got the not inconsiderable numbers of 202 stops and 363 assists in 571 chances, which gives him a success percentage of 98.9, or what is the same, he only committed 6 mistakes. Range has been one of his main weapons, posting a position high +11.5 ZR in the minors, while his Defensive Efficiency was also pretty high with a 1.075.
While his defensive numbers were among the best of the league, his batting statistics where average at best, only being able to get on base on .272 and recording and OPS of .687. In raw numbers, he was at bat 504 times, maging 137 hits, 48 RBIs, 65 runs and 41 BB. Not great, but respectable.
