Berocka McGrath Player Application Empty Berocka McGrath Player Application

Sat May 30, 2020 10:12 am
Player Name: Berocka McGrath
Weight: 6'5''
Height: 200 lbs
Age: 22
Gender: Male
1.) Your Backstory
McGrath came from a family of brilliant cricketers, Berocka's cousin Glenn is considered one of the best bowlers that Australia has ever seen. Berocka loved cricket growing up but hated playing it as he would always get compared to his cousin and he would never be able to live up to that greatness. One day he came to find the sport of baseball and some school friends playing it in the park. He asked to join in and enjoyed fielding in the outfield he had a really good eye and reflexes that fielding was second nature to him. Plus he had a cannon for an arm and all the friends told him to try out.
2.) Your past Baseball experiences
McGrath then played Baseball from when he was 13 all the way up to present day. He was the youngest player ever selected to play in the ABL for the Brisbane Bandits and won 4 championships in a row. He ended up pitching the most innings in the whole competition most seasons but also would have extremely low runs and hits against him.
3.) What type of player are you?
McGrath focuses on his accuracy and uses his movement to deceive the batsman rather than his pace. You will see him try and through as little balls as possible and believes that he can strike anyone out, he will avoid walking someone at any cost.
4.) Were you scouted? If not why did you choose the SBLM?
A couple of players and staff approached McGrath with him putting up some great numbers in the ABL, I just think there were probably less scouts looking out that way then there should be.
5.) Interesting facts about your player.
McGrath, wishes he could bat more than he does, it is one of the aspects he misses most from Cricket where if you were a good batter you could get the chance to do both batting and bowling where moving into baseball he had to specialise more.
