Wade Landry Player Application Empty Wade Landry Player Application

Tue May 26, 2020 12:09 pm
Player Name: Wade Landry
Weight: 193 lbs
Height: 6'1
Age: 18
Gender: Male
1.) Your Backstory: Born in Allentown, Pennsylvania on March 24th, 2002, Wade Landry has had dreams of being a professional baseball player seemingly his entire life. Fortunately for him, he wound up being pretty good at the sport. While he was a solid batter, his speed was his greatest weapon. Landry has a penchant for maximizing every opportunity, whether it's beating a throw to first for a base hit, turning a single into a double, or stealing bases. After graduating high school, Landry now looks to take the next step in his career.
2.) Your past Baseball experiences - Landry has played in various organized youth baseball leagues throughout his life. Always known as an energetic, dedicated player, he had no problems making the team at William Allen High School, playing at the varsity level for all four years. The SBLM is the next step in his baseball career.
3.) What type of player are you? - Landry is an ideal player for a small ball offense. His hitting ability leads to high averages, although he is not known for being a power hitter. Despite it seeming like he was hidden at RF, he is a capable defensive player in the outfield. Landry's greatest asset, however, is his speed. Useful both offensively and defensively, his ability to get into scoring position makes him an ideal leadoff batter, especially when combined with his contact and discipline.
4.) Were you scouted? If not why did you choose the SBLM? - Landry was scouted throughout his high school career, with Sherbrooke and Chicago the main two teams to do so. Despite being ineligible for the SBLM Draft, the two teams maintained an interest in him, especially with their need at RF continuing after the draft. Sherbrooke, in the end, proved to be the best for for Landry, who signed with the Mohawks earlier this week.
5.) Interesting facts about your player. - In a league that boasts many future power hitters, Landry is the exact opposite. As a contact hitter with the speed to steal bases, he figures to be a leadoff man and a duck on the pond for the power hitters. Despite being a right fielder, Landry is a more than competent fielder, along with an arm capable of putting a stop to the extra base hits he creates offensively.
