1.) Your Backstory: Nate Nitro is your average Joe when you pass him on the street. Nothing too spectacular really. But when he has a baseball in his hand - a passion for pitching the ball and getting batters out quickly shows in his face and body demeanor. This is a guy who LOVES to have the ball in his hand. Growing up as a New York Yankees fan in the heart of the Bronx, where the Yankees make their home - yeah you wouldn’t blame the guy for pursuing a baseball career in the SBL.
2.) Your past Baseball experiences: Nate Nitro has played baseball his entire life, starting with T-Ball, all the way up to Little League, and then playing both Babe Ruth baseball as well as for his local middle school and high school baseball team. Once Nitro finally finished high school, he made the jump directly to the SBL.
3.) What type of player are you? Power starting pitcher. Nitro heavily utilizes his two fastball variants in the fastball, cutter as well as an off-speed pitch in the change-up to get batters out.
4.) Where you scouted? If not why did you choose the SBLM? Nitro wasn’t even on the MLB radar; what a joke; right? Anyways, without any opportunities in the MLB, Nitro immediately searched for a baseball opportunity and stumbled upon the SBL. after a few days of deliberations, Nitro decided to file his intentions to play for the league and will play out S0 in the minors.
5.) Interesting facts about your player. Nitro’s idol is Mariano Rivera, hence the pitch connection and selections. Nitro differs from his idol in that he is determined to make it as a starting pitcher, not as a reliever/closer.
